Policy Advocacy for Effective Tobacco Taxation aims at influencing policy makers for more effective tax and price policy measures through necessary policy analysis and advocacy. As part of comprehensive tobacco control measures, such actions are expected to help raise consciousness amongst policy makers to raise taxes on tobacco. Building on existing studies and conducting further review and analysis, the initiative is developing evidence based policy advocacy materials and strategies focusing on multiple stakeholders, particularly the policy makers in the ministries of health and finance in Bangladesh.
